FLASHCADILLAC

Traditional Rock n' Roll Since 1969

FLASHCADILLAC

Flash Cadillac came onto the rock & roll scene almost 20 years after Elvis created an individual style from his country roots that included Southern blues, gospel music and rhythm & blues, which itself drew on swing and jump-jazz rhythms.

Elvis is gone, but Flash Cadillac keeps the era alive.  They deliver a resounding "Rock Around the Clock" and a sweet "Hey Little Girl."  "What's Your Name" is suitably playful.  The opening cut, "Black Slacks," is crisp.  And they close with a strong medley of "Great Balls of Fire," "Roll Over Beethoven," "Surfin' USA" and "Sweet Little Sixteen."

Their "Oh, Pretty Woman" and "Peggy Sue" are still among the are still among the best renditions.  "That's Rock and Roll" is just the right beat and "Little Latin Lupe Lu" generates the swivel with fun interplay.

3 Redneck Tenors

Our story starts in a far away land called Paris, that's right Paris, Texas.  Not so very long ago there was these three young, slim, good lookin' fine bird-like singin' boys named Billy Bob, Billy Joe and Billy Billee.  Okay, maybe not so young, slim and good lookin' but, whoa doggy, can they sing!

One day while sing'n in front of their mobile music studio (that's showbiz talk for trailer),  they were discovered by a shrewd city slicker agent by the name of, well let's just call him...the Colonel.  To make a long story short, this is a tale about the Colonel's search for the perfect venue (that's French for place) and style for our boys to shine like the afternoon sun on a bald man's head (no offense to you folically challenged out there).  Well, that's the long and short of it.  It's basically a foot stompin', knee slapin' uproariously funny musical redneck romp with the tunes of Elvis to Puccini, Country to Opera, from Paris Texas all the way to their triumphant debut at New York City's famous Carnegie Hall.

So ya'll come join us and I'll betcha a six pack of longnecks and a can of Copenhagen snuff that you've never seen or heard anything like it.

The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe

This enchanting musical is based on C.S. Lewis’ adventure story about four children of war-torn England, who accidentally enter the land of Narnia by climbing through a magic wardrobe.  This strange and wonderous place is ruled by the cold-hearted White Witch, who makes the winter last year round.  Although they seem unlikely saviors, the children fulfill an ancient prophecy by defeating the Witch, thus restoring sunshine and peace to the spellbound Narnia and returning the great Lion King Aslan to his throne.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Have you ever had a really rotten day? Alexander has… He wakes up with gum in his hair, he trips on a skateboard, and then he accidentally drops his sweater in the sink – all before breakfast!  Alexander can already tell – it’s going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!

Alexander’s day continues to go downhill as he gets smushed in the car on the way to school, his teacher doesn’t like his drawing of an invisible castle, and Paul doesn’t want to be his friend anymore.  There’s no dessert for lunch, there’s lima beans for dinner, and even worse: there’s kissing on television!  It’s enough to make you want to move to Australia!

Laugh and sing along with Alexander’s misadventures in this hilarious musical, featuring book and lyrics by Judith Viorst, author of the best-selling classic book.  Discover with Alexander that sometimes, everyone has a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Even in Australia.

Doctor Dolittle

Doctor Dolittle

Hugh Lofting, a lieutenant in the Royal British Army, is separated from his son Colin during World War l.  At his wife’s urging, Lofting writes a story for him from the front.  Despite the harsh conditions on the battlefield, Lieutenant Lofting’s imagination comes alive as he concocts a marvelous tale about a kind-hearted physician who can talk with the animals: The Story of Doctor Dolittle.

In the little English town of Puddleby-on Marsh, Doctor Dolittle lives with his animal friend.  One day an African monkey seeks out the world-famous good doctor – there is a terrible illness afflicting his cousins, and Dolittle is the only one who can save them!

As Doctor Dolittle and his friends set sail, Colin becomes more and more enthralled with his father’s story.  He begs Lofting to put him in the tale so that he can go on the voyage too, and soon First Mates Colin joins Dolittle’s travels.  But when Lofting is injured in battle and is unable to write to his son, it’s up to Colin to decide how the saga ends.

Doctor Dolittle is an enchanting musical about communication and the power of storytelling.
